    Barker, Jesse
      Jesse Barker - EB Barker - Rufus L. Barker - Albert Barker Manuel L. Barker - and myself Larnce V. Barker Jesse Barker (from North Carolina )the son of Calvin Barker or John Calvin Barker- Arrived in Stephen F. Austin's 4th Colony in December 1828 to 1833 in the Bastrop area. The records show his wife Malinda (father Joseph Weeks and sister Elizina Weeks married to Willis Avery )and 3 male and 1 female children. He was 38 years and his wife Malinda was 23. It is noted that he "took the oath" I t is noted that Eliazor Block (E.B.) Barker was one of the male children mentioned above but I know he was born Later. Additional information can be found in the History of Texas Together With A Biographical History of Milam , Williamson, Bastrop, Travis, Lee, and Burleson Counties. pp 717-718 Lewis Publishing Co. Chicago- 1893 . Located in San Antonio Public Library and also at the Barker Library & State Archives - Geneology Department Probate Minutes - No. 144 pg 262 Sello Tercero: Dos Reales The Texas State Library and Archives - shows Jesse Barker entered Captain Hill's Company as a Private July 3, 1836 in the Volunteer Rangers being Honarbly Discharged at Hickory Point October 3,1836 Shows where R.M. Coleman Col. in the Texian Army wrote the order to the Government of the Republic of Texas to pay Jesse Barker $25 and his Honorable Discharge from the Volunteer Rangers. EB Barker was orphaned at a young age of 11 losing both mother in July 1845 giving birth to his sister and father in February of 1846. Livided with his older brother statred farming for himself. He became one the earliest settlers in Milam county in result became Williamson County

    Bell, Thaddeus Constatine
      My great grandmother was Saphronia Bell who married Alexander Wade. She was the daughter of Thaddeus Constatine who was the son of Josiah H Bell. Josiah came to Texas with Stephen F Austin and the original 300 families. I would like info on Saphronia, her siblings etc. Her one sister, Lula Bell was married to Judge McCormick of Dallas.
